The name Worship Wins Wars comes from two passages of scriptures in the bible, the first is the book of II Chronicles 20:21-22 where during a battle King Jehoshaphat appointed worshipers to go ahead of the army singing and praising God and saying “Give thanks to the Lord for his love endures forever.” As they were worshiping, God set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. God caused them to fight amongst themselves and when King Jehoshaphat’s army came to the place overlooking the dessert all they found were dead bodies. 

The second is found in Acts 16:16-30 where Paul and Silas were thrown into prison and at midnight they were praying and singing hymns to God while the other prisoners listened. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the prison foundation was shaken and the doors of the prison cells were opened and the chains on the prisoners were loosed. The guard awoke and drew his sword to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped but Paul said “Do not harm yourself! We are all still here.” The guard asked for lights, ran in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He brought them out and asked “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

1. We believe that the bible is the inspired word of God and it is truth and life. 

2. We believe in the one true God, creator and sustainer of all things, who exists eternally in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 

3. We believe that Jesus Christ, the second in the trinity, is the Son of God who came to earth, gave his life, and rose again to free the world from their sins.

4. We believe that salvation comes through repentance of sin and by belief in the Lord Jesus as Savior. 

5. We believe that when you have accepted Jesus as Savior you are declared righteous, born again by the Holy Spirit, turned from sin, and assured a place in heaven. 

6. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all who are born again, shaping them to the likeness of Jesus Christ. 

7. We believe that water baptism is next step after accepting Jesus into your life and it is the outward expression of the inward commitment to follow Jesus Christ. 

8. We believe in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross. 

9. We believe marriage is between one man and one woman and what God has joined together no man can put asunder. 

10. We believe that the return of Christ for all believers is imminent. 

Worship Wins Wars teaches the importance of living a Godly life in public and behind closed doors. We believe in letting our light shine so the world can see Jesus in each of us. We also know that as humans there will be times when everything will not go our way but in the good times and the bad times we worship because worship wins the wars.
